What report do you want?
The “Transport Identification Certificate” is a common abbreviation in business exchanges. The official name, the applicable mode of transport and the extent of acceptance shall be based on the issuing agency and the Carrier requirements. In its 2026 notification for the testing platform at the Shanghai Chemical Institute, the name “Transport Risk Assessment” was used, with the original name “Designation of Transport Conditions”. It is important not to judge the use of reports already available on the basis of abbreviations alone.
We'll confirm three things before we do it.
- Confirm to the intended carrier: whether identification is required, which agencies are accepted and which modes of transport should be covered by the report.
- (b) To confirm to the expert body what information is required, whether the goods are sent, how they are delivered and how they are entrusted.
- Identification of the goods in the this shipment: Chinese, English, model, composition or specifications, and actual packing status.

DGM's public identification operations cover chemical works, magnetic substances, mechanical equipment, batteries and batteries, etc., and provide the corresponding letters of authority. The content of the identification of the different items is not the same, so the above is only a communication preparation list, and the final material should be based on the requirements of the agency for admission.
Suggested order of action
- The information available is sent to the institution for pre-approval review to confirm the project and the conditions for its admissibility.
- (a) Fill in the commissioning information as required; In the case of the delivery of samples, the conditions of receipt are confirmed before transport is arranged.
- Get the quotations and the projected cycle and ask which node to begin with.
- Timely confirmation of non-conformity or non-conformity of the additional items.
- The report is then submitted to the carrier for review, after checking the product name, model, application unit, mode of transport and the report's conclusions.
How long? How much?
There is no uniform number of days or price applicable to all goods. Written quotations for the project and the expected completion time should be obtained from the agency, and confirmation should be given as to whether additional testing, reporting language, expediency or other services are included. GENORDA's time limit for transport should not be combined with the period of certification.
Queries can be directed to the following: “The information and samples are expected to be ready in __ days and delivery is planned for __ days. Please confirm how long it is anticipated that the report will be issued after admissibility and what cases may be deferred. I don't think so.
FAQ
There's a MSDS. Do you need a transport identification?
Depending on the channel and cargo requirements. MSDS is not used for transport identification purposes and cannot be used as a default substitute.
Can last year's report continue?
Check the conditions of application and the carrier requirements indicated in the report itself and confirm whether the product, model and mode of transport have changed. The annual reporting arrangements of a given institution should not be construed as having the same validity period for all reports.
Once the results are out, will they be able to ship?
Carriers are also required to combine routes, packaging, documentation and acceptance policy confirmation. An identification report cannot be a substitute for booking or final shipment confirmation.
