Full Guide to Export Logistics for Pharmaceutical Chemicals

To assist the procurement, quality and logistics teams in coordinating export projects, by targeting pharmaceutical and chemical enterprises, by collating product information, import confirmation, temperature control responsibilities and cost boundaries.

Let's get the product's identity and transport needs clear.

“Medical chemicals” is not a uniform transport category. There may be different audits of pharmaceuticals, raw materials, intermediates and common chemicals. It is recommended that the use, supply status and destination of the product be identified before the presence of hazardous goods or temperature control requirements are confirmed. A project preparation guide is presented below; Access to and conditions of transport for specific products are to be confirmed separately.

It's recommended that the three posts be jointly confirmed.

This is the suggested division of labour for collaboration. The procedures for the inspection of shipments, the release of products of quality and the import of goods should not be considered as the same approval.

Request for quotation proposal with a list

  • Chinese and English proficient, model or specification, use and application of MSDS.
  • Number of packages, form of packaging, final gross weight and size of each box.
  • Requirements for the location, destination city and postage, delivery or arrival of goods.
  • Planned delivery dates, delivery dates requested by clients and acceptable range of adjustments.
  • Requirements for transport conditions, monitoring and handover, as identified by the quality team.
  • The recipient's contact person, working hours and the state of readiness for import.

Projects that have not been identified should be identified as “to be confirmed”. The initial offer should include a list of the assumptions relied upon to facilitate the follow-up of changes.

When there is a need for temperature control, identify the boundaries of responsibility.

IATA's medical logistics information emphasizes coordination among supply chain participants. Project communication cannot simply be “required cold chains”: product application requirements should be provided by the quality manager, and the responsibility, record-keeping and unusual notification arrangements with service providers for the delivery, transport, clearance of customs waiting and delivery stages should be clearly established.

If an abnormal record is received, whether or not the goods are still available should be assessed by the product quality manager and the overpacking alone should not be judged. This paper does not provide temperature control or packaging parameters for specific products.

Recommendation item by item at quotation

In addition to the main freight charges, it shall be determined whether the costs of packing, documentation, delivery, warehousing, temperature control-related services, destination operations and identification are covered and which items are charged on an actual basis. The period of validity of the offer, the manner in which the shipment was not confirmed and the cost of the deferred shipment should also be agreed upon in writing.

FAQ

There's an MSDS. Can we just deliver it?

The packing, quantity, route and conditions of acceptance of this shipment must also be confirmed. Carrier's public guidance requires the consignor to correctly identify and declare the goods; A single document cannot be a substitute for a full review.

The customer wants to arrive one day. Can you make a direct commitment?

It is recommended that a distinction be made between the time required for data clearance, preparation for delivery, master transportation and customs clearance delivery. The unrecognized link should be included as a planning condition and the anticipated time limit for the carriage should not be written into an unconditional guarantee of arrival.
